first and foremost, I recently started getting my sleep schedule set right and I find that my productivity is much better now. sleeping & waking up at the same time every day is good for you, even on the weekends. once you have a regular sleep schedule you find that you're able to manage your awake time better because you hate to sacrifice sleep just to get shit done. I take a sleeping pill at the same time every day to make sure I sleep when I need to.
I use Google calendar religiously -- I schedule in the time I spend doing whatever work tasks. I schedule in breaks (which is important in my onion) and time for eating at work or else I forget. I schedule time to work out so I know to make it a priority. schedule in time for self-care if you need to. if there's a task that seems too big to finish all in one sitting I set a timer for 20 min or whatever just so I can give myself some sort of start.
I keep a small notebook that has a to-do list that I rewrite every few days as things are checked off and new things are added. this way I don't forget anything I need to do. if the list is overwhelmingly long, I will just highlight 2-4 things I know I need to get done within the next day, two days, week-- whatever is appropriate for your timeline and workload.
You might not have to micromanage your time to the extreme like I do, but I'm tryna finish up my last year in grad school so I'm tryna stay on top of everything before it all creeps up on me
