Despite popular headcanons I don't think shadow would be a smoker/drinker, for one he couldn't get addicted to the substance therefore it would just taste bad and why would you continue do that?. (Alcohol is disgusting to me so idk if it can taste good) However I do believe that sonic would be a drinker, he can actually get hooked on a substance, he's def the type to compress his feelings and would down a whole bottle when he wasn't around anyone to disappoint. And if shadow found out, he would think it's absolutely unacceptable and immediately try to get sonic clean, not because he cares totallllly not, definitely! 😁 he just wants sonic to not be a mess!
i have the same headcanon for shadow, if alcohol affects him i dont think he would want it because he prefers being in a sound and alert state of mind always. if it doesnt affect him then theres not much point to it anyway. i think some official source also may have said he doesnt drink alcohol, despite the fact that we see him with a glass in Sonic X lol. though i dont know if thats true cause i cant remember where i heard it...
