i like to think that nikolai really likes fyodor's hands, and he usually greets fyodor by kissing his hand as if he was courting him in the last century

I can see that for him, it'd be so sweet and actually work bc Fyodor is ancient. He'd be wooed by victorian times courtship. Hand kisses are Nikolai's ticket into his 500yo heart
