i like to think that fyodor likes to be protected, in a scenario where nikolai ends up getting hurt to save fyodor, fyodor would be very impressed (and a little worried), he would be so kind to nikolai (even though nikolai is saying that hes fine)
Initially Fyodor would be surprised Nikolai stepped in to protect him at expense of own well-being. Then he'd indeed be impressed and start acting fondly (be it sincere or a tad bit staged for manipulative gain) and offer to tender the wounds. Nikolai's ego is hurt more than he is so he'd refuse but Fyodor is insistent - and has way more aces up sleeve than Nikolai can counter. Ofc it all ends up in Fyodor patching the wounds and caresses that make Nikolai all conflicted inside
