You know how notoriously Fyodor can’t write in Kanji that well even though he’s been alive for centuries? Imagine how peeved he’d be if Nikolai was better at writing/reading Japanese than him. (I don’t think he is considering the content we already have, but it would be so funny)
It'd be priceless, I bet Fyodor would be so miffed he can barely hide it. Nikolai flaunts advanced jp skills in front of him and Fyodor has to gulp and take in a deep breath 😭 funny thing is there's really no deeper meaning to it. Some people have a knack for linguistics, some don't. Nikolai could just have a flair Fyodor doesn't - and there's nothing Fyodor can do about it, except pulling a long face
