Nikolai who's 100% monogamous and only has eyes for Fyodor versus Fyodor who's a total slut, and who will get with anyone he sees fit. The angst potential there is huge. Imagine him trying to convince Nikolai to get into a poly relationship. I feel like there's a chance he would agree, but he would regret it eventually.

Poly relationship is interesting because yes, Nikolai would agree right away even if idea actually doesn't sit right with him. Because he's all about pushing boundaries, own included. He'd come to regret it once Fyodor takes it too far and jealousy eats him alive but he can't complain because he technically gave that all a green light. Peak angst potential indeed
