i think al-haitham really doesnt care how hes perceived lmao. i think maybe he probably had a bit of it as a kid but i like to think his grandmother was a good influence who helped him through it & he's confident enough now that he doesnt care at all. i feel like haitham dresses in whatever way he likes, like its more internal reasons rather than caring abt how his looks would be perceived, like eg. him simply liking a cape because of the way it sweeps when he moves. wearing a tight shirt because it doesnt cause the fabric to shift/brush against his skin when he moves etc? for kaveh he definitely likes being stylish bc thats a part of beauty but yes exactly lmao hes also practical abt it.
omg haikaveh and socmed... ngl haitham probably doesnt care for it and probably thinks half the people on there are just showing very surface level sides of themselves, he'd probably on socmed but like retweeting academic journals and arguing with people about philosophy/language/etc. kaveh would probably have an art account, also has like advocate tweets + thinkpiecing threads about his opinions

trust—i think haithams pretty straightforward when he says stuff, hes unlikely to lie, but his unreliability comes from the fact that he'd omit things if he doesnt think them to be important, even if others would consider them to be important. kaveh is also pretty honest i think he thinks its a virtue, but he'd probably tell white lies if he thinks its better for the other party. with each other though i think kaveh would pretty much be all open since its clear haitham doesnt rly care for white lies, and haitham would always tell the truth too except he just. omits info as i said, not even intentionally but just bc he doesnt feel the need to say it. eg. platitudes, excessive compliments, overexplaining himself etc. (underexplainer x overexplainer lol)
