(hi xiying this is ruru ^_^) the idea of haunting makes me crazy. afterimage of the other person in your memory…. voice in your ear telling you how x y z thing is done after they’re long dead/estranged from you…. flash of hair the same color or a similar silhouette and you chase after them to find out it was no one at all…. bright eyes or a ringing laugh reminding you of them and suddenly you’re brought back 5 years when nothing went wrong btwn you two…. (this is about hkvh)
omg i love haunting. and like haunting metaphors even if its stuff like your own past haunting you. I LOVE THE THING ABOUT SUDDENLY YOURE BROUGHT BACK 5 YEARS AGO ETC its so good like when theres a ghostly string tugging at your ankle and you think you’re walking along fine and suddenly theres a sharp yank and you’re thrown backward 10000 steps and youre like oh fuck
