The problem is with gachas its a feedback loop. Popular characters show up in events, become more popular due to screentime, therefore characters who don't show up at all lose popularity because they become forgotten so the company decides to not bother fleshing them out because they don't sell.

I really wish hyv would rotate characters in every event they make for equal screen time. Like I’m so excited for inazuma but then I saw leaks and it’s just Itto and Yae glazing again. Like I get it’s a yokai focused event but Sara is one too. There’s also the yokai village they teased years ago. Then there’s also kirara. Ntm Sayu, Heizou, Gorou and Thoma are forgotten by the fandom because of the lack of screen time. Saying these characters has the personality of a wet cardboard when they were never explored in the first place. While the two characters I mentioned are literally everywhere. It’s just saddening.

same, i think it was the case for a lot of people. i never was particularly into w/n but im not the type to have a notp, im a big multishipper and did enjoy wrionvfr back then. once i got into genshin fandom fully i started seeing their behaviour and disliking them. i almost hated wrio too bc of them

This kind of mindset it so funny to me someone who came from a country where the majority of fujoshis are always guaranteed to be raging homophobic. M/f shippers can be homophobic, sexist, misogynistic but so does fujoshis like in many cases they can be even worse but shipping to men is the more morally correct stance I guess
