w/n is obviously popular but i don’t think id call it a juggernaut, its missing the recognition outside of yaoi spaces other main genshin pairings like emk, hkv, bgng cynnr have, their ao3 numbers are really the only thing that make them seem super popular in comparison to other ships and those are faked by one account lol nvfr is more recognizable as the fontaine duo to people outside of w/n shipping spaces
that is also true. im gonna get shit on by some anons for this but from my very subjective point of view wn is one of those ships that appeals to most of fandom people bc they're hot tall men and not for the story itself. which is fine ofc and women can enjoy whatever they want, but i think this is the reason why they dont have the same "approval" as the ones you mentioned. the ship never started bc of the characters' story themselves or their relationship but simply bc they existed in game (even before that actually). so while i believe there are amazing fics out there and people who turned their story into the most amazing danmei bc thats what content creators in fandoms do, the basis for the ship didnt start bc of their story or development and it's mostly superficial appeal. now i know im gonna sound like a holier than thou guy but idc, it's my opinion on them.
