is it only east asian sourced media or do places like India count as well?
All Asian media fandoms are welcome! Most of our applicants have applied with East Asian fandoms, especially Japanese anime fandoms, but we will consider all Asian fandoms.

Hello! I was wondering if only anime/Japanese characters are welcome in the zine or if we can have western series included as well? Either animated or live action!
As outlined on our application form, characters are limited to those from Asian-sourced anime/cartoons, manga/comics, and anime-style video game media

Can we Edit our application? I wanted to go back and see if I could edit one of my ideas and it makes me start over.
Our form is set to allow users to edit their responses, but as far as I'm aware, the only time you have access to the edit link is immediately after submitting. The only other way you can access it is if the form collects emails and sends a copy to the applicant, which is not something we'd previously set up. We've updated it to include this feature now, but unfortunately, that doesn't help with already collected responses.
You're welcome to send the updated info through here or Twitter DMs if that's easier - just make sure to include the name you signed up with so we can attach it to the correct application. But I will also say that the ideas you submit are not final and you're welcome to change your mind during the process, so you don't need to update.

Hi, do all of the source materials have to be Japanese? I have ideas for Limbus Company (which is Korean) and Nu:Carnival (which is Taiwanese), and I'm unsure if this would be permitted.
After some discussion with the mods, we've decided yes, we will allow other Asian anime-style media. We would love to see your ideas for Limbus Company and NU: Carnival!

Hi I'm just wondering why you're collecting information for contributors in the interest check! Is this a combination interest check and signup?
The form was originally designed as both, but we modified it to separate the interest check and the sign-up form (which should be out soon) almost immediately after the first couple responses, as we honestly didn't know how much interaction the idea would garner. Those two questions are the remnants of that, and we've now made them optional so anyone who fills out the interest check doesn't need to include contact information if they don't want to.

heyo! I notice all your examples used are underage characters (except lio) which is chill, but does that mean you're aiming for this to be more of a shotacon style zine? I personally picture twinks as like in their 20s, is this still welcome?
Hi! There is no real set definition of what a twink is, but definitions usually include "young/youthful" as one of the prerequisites. The Wikipedia article on it says "usually (but not always) in his late teens to twenties," and another definition says "18-22." We compiled a list of criteria based on examining the many loose definitions to find one that fits our goal:
- A boy who is...
- Young or youthful in appearance
- Slim or slender
- Often flamboyant or theatrical
- Physically attractive, especially in a pretty, stereotypically "feminine" way
We are not specifically aiming for it to feature only underage characters, and older twinks are absolutely welcome! In fact, we would prefer a range of differently aged characters for a range of different readers.
If you have suggestions of older characters to include on our Carrd, we would be happy to add more examples.
