Hello! I just want to double check, does one of the 3 best pieces have to be Genshin related or just a piece in our portfolios? I have a Genshin piece in my portfolio but I don't feel like I'd put it in my top 3 so I wanna check Ty in advance!

hello! i know writing applications ask not to include gore but what about. non-explicit discussion of gore-adjacent topics.. ie cannibalism, religious martyrdom,, internal organs. especially cannibalism. what are mod thoughts on this (cannibalism).
Hello! While mentions of gore-adjacent topics are tolerable as metaphors, please keep in mind that they should not be the focus of the sample, as we want samples to refrain from including graphic depictions of violence and gore. To provide an example, we would be fine with mentions of organs (i.e. "lungs," "heart," "spine," etc.), but would not want you going into explicit detail about viscera. Hope that helps!

are we allowed to use drafts in our portfolios?
Hello! For artist applications, a maximum of two WIPs/sketches are allowed in your portfolio. For poet applications, a maximum of one WIP is allowed in your portfolio. Hope that helps!

Hi! Sorry if I’m just not seeing this, but you don’t seem to have any finance, production, or shipping mods listed on your mod page…who is in charge of ordering and shipping the zine or is the zine digital only?

Hello! I would just like to ask if, for contributor applications/portfolio submission, I can already include the piece I would like to submit for the zine (assuming I get accepted)? I’ll be somewhat busy during the actual creation period so I’d love to get started on a piece already and just cross my fingers and hope to get accepted. Thank you!
Hello! While you are free to submit whatever piece you wish as part of your portfolio or as one of your samples in your contributor applications, so long as they meet the general application requirements, please know that we expect our contributors to produce new content meant exclusively for use in the anthology. In addition to this, during the creation period, the anthology will first have to approve pitches before contributors can move forward and begin with creation, which means that the pitch associated with the piece you desire to submit for the zine if you were to get accepted is not guaranteed to be approved.
