I like it.

I started off my undergrad in comp sci, then moved to economics. Had issues with some of the theories, moved into a softer science like sociology, but retained my interest in econometrics. Studied sociology and political science, primarily with a focus on statistical methods, hoping to get work at Stats Canada (they always had postings for sociology and statistics majors when I was undergrad). Had an interest in longitudinal data analysis.

No relevant jobs when I graduated.

I thought, 'screw it, I'll just do my MA in stuff I think is fun', and went with media. Did it on alien invasion films, and just kinda stuck with the media route. Very much a #YOLO move.
