When i introduced mavuika to my non genshin friend their first reaction was "wtf is wrong with her is she a sociopath" bc of her insane perfectionism and i just think. Like yes its a fantasy game and while say mavuika's suffering isnt to the same level as some others those kinds of events like dying and being resurrected 500 years later might fuck up a regular human terribly, and while it's obvious theyre trying to show her being a human means she can better understand her people think of it this way. Mavuika who is unknowingly too intimidating and dominating of her sexual partners, a bit too excited about killing or fighting. Her godhood slowly chipping away at her humanity no matter how much she tries to cling to it. So she resorts to inciting the two rawest human emotions to feel some form of humanity, fear and pain.
She understands consent on paper but in bed is so terrifying its no different than rape

this is a very interesting analysis of her character actually. i also think she's.. too perfect. she's obviously low-key neurotic deep down, sort of like furina. they are, after all, humans down to the core. all that time takes a toll on the psyche. she's probably the type to just one day snap, and it's such a subtle snap that people won't notice until she's abusing her strength and authority in ways that don't even seem that evil at all
