unfortunately(?), i'm one of those who try to keep them looking brand new. but i promise that doesn't mean they aren't loved. just a preference. a bookmark instead of dog ears, flags instead of chicken scratch. plus, if i'm done with them and they happen to be collecting dust, i'll either donate them or find a free library and leave it there for someone else to enjoy and love too.
