i’m doing a reread of ‘The Night is Short and You’re Not a Given’ and wow. somehow i forgot how deep this has its claws in me on my first read thru but it is quite literally incredible!! i feel so much what hansol is feeling in the beginning w the kind of peaceful purposeless-ness. the way you write them makes me want to eat handfuls of dirt !! i am so in love with the vibe they have together it’s sickeningly sweet !!! ok, sorry i just had to come yell at you since my reread has almost made me cry at work 3 times !! have a good day and thank you sm for writing and sharing :)
thank you so so much!!!!!! i modeled a lot of what hansol is going through after me when i was in college -- i felt lucky to have the world in front of me but felt like i was wasting time since i had no "direction" to push all that momentum into. i just felt like that vibe matched minghao's desire to be in charge of his own life, including any consequences, really well. plus he's a little bit my muse too, obviously. thank you so much for your thoughts and lovely message 🥹 they mean so much to me ♡
