hi question for you!!!! do you plan all your fics in detail before writing? with point form notes for example, as you’ve shown with beyond the limelight? or are there times where the idea is all there so you just write right away?
90% of the time the kind of outlines you’ve seen for BTL exist for all my fic ideas! normally if I get an idea I do a outline like that for the idea and then half the time that idea never makes it past the outline points but almost sll my fics exist in that form at first. this helps because usually I can’t sit to write a fic all in one sitting so a very detailed outline means I can come back days, weeks, or months later and pick up right where my brain left off before. On very rare occasions usually fueled by sudden inspiration or spite I can sit down and knock a whole 1-3k fic out in one sitting. but if it’s anything more than that, I love a good outline
