asking to see if this resonates with anyone, but like... sometimes i see certain deaddove accounts (tend to be the younger ones too, always block em on sight) enjoy stuff that feels misogynistic, if that makes sense? (kind of a bad example but think of those those shitty torture fantasies that men write and call "dark romance") maybe it's just purely my own personal discomfort because i know what you enjoy in fiction doesn't immediately always correlate to what you believe irl, however it's like... hm...
OH TOTALLY. like you say, obviously i don't think these people are out abusing women irl (especially since they are often women or afab) but when i see stuff like [i wrote out something rly graphic here but decided to not post it lmao but just imagine some like non-con amputee whump porn] and it's then like "also 🐱!twink" (that's the very poorly designed warning that the character has a pussy) it's like UMM... WHY'D HE HAVE TO GET A PUSSY FOR ALL OF THAT.... maybe this person is working out some issues but WHEN IT KEEPS HAPPENING..... ultimately it doesn't "mean" anything on an individual level but it definitely makes me wonder about the state of things sometimes lol
or there's definitely some "dead dove" accounts that do the kind of first-person-pov tweets where the "fictional / roleplay fantasy" is supposedly the angle but they're a little too into it and i'm like i'm just gonna block and move on...
