(Sorry this if still about the yuri thing lol) but personally I don't get why people would complain about their ships being unpopular. ALL my ships are "niche", with my latest favorite being between two deities from mythology that no one cares about, and there being ABSOLUTELY no content is actually so freeing. My city. (If you're curious it's dadson teehee :p)
no i get people wanting more people to be into something bc for me as a writer i do want people reading (though if it also just ends up being 2 friends, that's fine too), and IDEALLY i want people who share my interpretations to talk about character / ship analysis or speculate with or just have fun making up scenarios... but i definitely understand the pros of having a niche ship too lol. no one to ruin it for you!
