yesss i love every single thing you said. i personally don't read much fanfic but i'm not surprised that would be the case. hoping there will be more for you! i'm still learning myself but it really sucks to see people say that female characters are butch and then do nothing to edit them as such, thinking that a sporty personality/somewhat short hair/Feminine pants is enough. headcanons are a very lovely thing but why act like it's canon especially when you have the power to draw go and fix that design!!! so glad you agree that we need more lesbian kings while still very much being women bc a lot of people get mad at that stuff for some reason, for tons of reasons lol. you find just the right balance between actually having standards but also letting loose every single time it's so refreshing
oh and this is a side note but i remember reading your femslash doc and it reminded me that even when drawing femme lesbians they're almost always super long haired full faces of trendy makeup..come on now

RIGHT IT DRIVES ME CRAZY. it's why so much is just soulless for me. if you're DRAWING it there needs to be some kind of intentionality to it and not u just picking the current #1 straight (white western) girl look
