different anon here but i love hanya/xueyi so i’ll chime in: they were both involved in a war long ago where xueyi died, but in order to keep hanya from going insane she’s resurrected in a robot puppet form and they both have to do dirty work for the commission for the rest of their lives. hanya is obsessed with making her sister happy and xueyi can spend half a day in the mortal world with her for every criminal they sentence or something like that. they have a lot of hidden lore and i wish the main story quests went into it more :,,,)
