Hi. I’m a small writer myself. I guest that anon is living in negative space because you’ve been doing the exact opposite of what they said, for as long as I’ve known your rec account, which was from the beginning, pretty much. I’m not sure what the right words are but I want to assure you that you are the realest, most authentic person in this community. You see something you like, so you recommend it. There’s no tricks or tactics or idk what. From your recs alone, your genuine love for the stories you read, regardless of anything but the plot, and the plot alone, transcends and it’s wonderful to see because this space is all about numbers, unfortunately. So THANK YOU for seeing the content itself and not the numbers to deem of its worth. You treat all stories equally and that means a lot. I’m sorry for that false perspective this anon is trying to plaster on your name. And again, thank you for supporting us writers who only want to tell a story. If it reaches only one person, then our work is done. You help us do that and you always have nothing but kindness for us. I couldn’t even begin to explain how your recs have broaden my reading horizon., and they’re all so good. You are a sweetheart and those anon have no idea what they’re talking about. i wish words were able to explain the big huge smile you’ve put on my face! knowing this means so much to me - being online can be very tricky, especially in big fandoms as this one and it can become hard reaching out to people and establish some kind of dialogue, of relationship. being received with so much warmth is all i could have ever hoped and more!!!
it makes me happy supporting writers to the best of my ability, which in this case it’s only by sharing, commenting, interacting, cheering them on & listening to them when they need a new perspective. and i’m always going to show kindness to people who have shown it to me.
