Hi! I've never done a bingo before and I'm so excited for tomorrow!! I have a lot of questions though, where do I request the bingo cards? Can I have a beta? Can the pieces be pre-poly? Is there a prize? How long do the fics have to be? Plase and thank youuuu ♡
Helloooo!!! The card request forms will be dropped tomorrow! Yes, you can have a beta. The pieces can be pre-poly/pre-relationship, as long as it is clear that is where it is headed. As of now, there is not a prize, but depending on participation, I may look into it!! Scoring and work requirements can be found in our carrd and via Twitter! hi! just wondering, if something is multichaptered, can the first chapter already be posted for it to be included in the bingo? so like, we say it’s for the bingo in the second chapter
Yes! Ongoing works are allowed in the bingo, whether it’s a next chapter or a sequel/part of a series! As long as your chapter fits the word requirements and other fest rules, that sounds good to us!

elaborating off of the one i just sent, i know it says “all” before the phrase i pointed out, so i understand if that should be clear as is, but i just think putting 0t8 in your bio or name would be a lot clearer than a lengthy way of saying 0t8

Only OT8 counts? That's pretty limiting and kinda disappointing...

You are more than welcome to run a poly SKZ fest that does not have this requirement yourself! Just the same as a Hyunlix fest would only want Hyunlix and a Minsung fest would only want Minsung, this fest wants to focus on the PolyOT8 relationship! ☺️” -💖

Are difficult topics allowed? Like self harm, suicidal ideation, eating issues?
Difficult topics and Dead Dove (DD:NE) are allowed. Appropriate tagging for these will be super important (even if they aren’t on your bingo card). These sorts of tropes won’t be placed on a bingo card unless you request them.

so just to be sure - if a fic is [ship]centric but still ot8, is that allowed? for example i’m working on one that’s omegaverse and so they’re a pack and all sexually involved, maybe even all romantically involved on some level, but they also gravitate towards certain members (have a mate). i know this is probably too much detail but i just wanna explain how even though i might tag it as background ot8, it’s not only background… if that makes sense 😭 the relationships with each member will be explored to an extent from the main character’s pov, he just still has a mate.
My gut says yes and it’s mostly because you are putting a lot of consideration into how it works. Poly dynamics can vary greatly, so having omegaverse mates or primary partners is definitely a thing we know will be represented. We just want to avoid works being [ship]centric with a throwaway line of “and everyone else was there, too.” - ✨
poly relationships aren’t as cut and dry as “everyone is together with everyone all the time” people are going to gravitate more towards other people in a relationship. the only thing we want to avoid happening in this fest is “the four main pairings and then they’re somehow boyfriends that seem more like friends” - 💖

i'm very excited about this bingo!! will any poly ships be allowed or is it only for ot8 fics?
The short answer is, "yes, as long as it's set in the context of a larger Ot8 relationship." The long answer is that we have wrestled with this question so much in creating this bingo. We really want to highlight the Ot8 dynamic, but completely understand that a dynamic like that can be hard to capture in shorter, low-stress works. We think that fics like "how does this triad maintain its unique connection within the rest of the group" or "when this duo could no longer stay just two" have so much potential and we want to challenge writers in the community to share these stories. That being said, we are asking that the PolyOt8 be more than simply implied or relegated to the background.
