Have you ever taken an online friendship to real life and off screen? If so, did you continue to enjoy the person’s company as much as you did online, or did the relationship change?

Yeh, I met an online friend who lived in Alabama when I was 15 and she was 17. It wasn't a special trip for that, I was allowed to do it because my dad was driving my grandmother's belongings to Florida for her after she'd moved there. We played some games, we ate some Domino's. We were still friends for a few years after that, but we grew apart during those few years. She had a baby when she was 19 and we gradually stopped corresponding altogether. I met two guys from a pathfinder forum about 6 years ago. I didn't make a special trip for that either, they just lived near where my mom was living  and I was visiting her. I liked them, but our friendship definitely petered out right after that. Other than that, I made a friend on grindr and we only got to meet once irl before the lockdown. Last time I talked to her she seemed less enthusiastic than she was right before and right after we met, but these are SAD times.
