Have you ever sought out information that might challenge your beliefs, or arguments for positions you disagree with - not to "debunk", but to better understand the othet side and potentially change your view? Do you think it is a good idea to do so?

I have, and it has never changed my view anytime recently, but when I was younger, I was raised by conservatives, so I had some beliefs I did research and was like "oh wow my parents are full of shit" on this or that matter. I do think it's a good idea, but you have to be careful bc you are not immune to propaganda. it's good to know how to recognize propaganda if you're planning on doing that.
