i’m pretty sure you need to draw a magic circle either physically or with an athame or something, then consecrate the space and invite whichever deity you are working with in, summon the elementals and plead your case. thank them for their time and close out the call by undrawing the magic circle. sit and meditate a bit. at least, this is what i’ve learned from ceremonial magic.
