ah, it wasn't the whole time, but there was a period in high school, where I had moved recently from living just south of the Canadian border to the southeastern USA and so I got picked on for my accent, and there was this one girl, the first soprano, who was super loud and rude and didn't believe I was a senior when she was a freshman bc she was taller than me (I was malnourished as a kid, so I was pretty short until after I left home, now I think I'm average height? idr...ANYWAY) she was mean to me and would always pick on me for my accessories/lack thereof (we had school uniforms) because I was kind of a tomboy back then and rejected feminine things, and this girl was like a MEAN catty hyperfemme who I hated. she made my life really hard, and I eventually asked to be moved to the alto section instead of one of like 3 "second sopranos" because she would bully me for not having the same range as her and stuff. (she got furious when I got a solo part in a song and threw a fit because she thought she deserved it and that really kicked the whole thing into high gear; it was not great before but it got straight up bad after that.)

the good news is: once I got moved to the alto section, which was mostly black girls, we got along really well and they would kind of protect me from her >w< THANK YOU MY ALTO SISTERS I MISS YOU ALL I HOPE UR DOING WELL!!! >///<
