URLs that were claimed right when the system came out, and haven’t been reclaimed since, are now non-reclaimable. They instead give the “edited under a year ago” message on /request-url. Is this something that was intentional?
I kind of like the idea of a URL being removed from the claim system if you manage to own it for over a year, but on the other hand this now means those claimed URLs can become hoarded again.
It's actually because these URLs had a failed re-claim request within the last 3 months. I will fix it soon to explain a little better why something is blocked from claiming. There's been higher priority things to work on however, this week the Rentry database server hit 97% of storage capacity, so I needed to upgrade it without any downtime (which is now complete)
