oh gosh, i don't know that i have one singular memory i could count as best! it's going to sound mushy as hell but, as difficult as it was to get used to, i now actually LOVE sleeping with these nerds. joon tends to sleep near the foot of the bed and usually rests her head on my ankle/shin at the start of the night while kaja settles up closer to my upper back/shoulders. the other night she had her feet like right by my head which didn't bother me too much until she started dreaming KICKED ME IN THE FACE lololll. this morning i woke up at one point because joon had hiccups and she was pressed right against me so i could feel her jerking, my sweet baby. i love that shit.

sometimes they switch places in the middle of the night or i'll wake up with kaja's face smashed into the small of my back and they're slowly starting to NOT go absolutely crazy first thing in the morning and will lick and nuzzle me instead of trampolining on my stomach which is nice.

other then the sweet sleeping part i'm just so SO happy that bringing kaja into our family accomplished exactly what we were hoping it would. we were really hoping getting another dog would help joon grow some confidence and make her grow more "dog-like" instead just being a little ball of anxiety 24/7. and, though it took a bit, it ABSOLUTELY worked. little joon is SUCH a dog now. she gets excited about meal times and can drink water on her own and has even (finally!!) learned some commands and tricks and she's clearly so so SO much happier with kaja around. the two of them together are just so endlessly precious it makes my heart full EVERY DAY. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
