How on earth do you conduct character studies and/or analyzation ? I'm asking this as a fellow yume, there are times where I feel I'm writing my f/os in a manner that isn't like them and I'm not happy about it—I strive for accuracy but don't know where to start. ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
IF YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH YOUR F/O, YOU KNOW THEM BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE!! you shouldnt worry about things like "accuracy" because in your minds eye THIS is reality... in a way, i already view the very concept of being in a relationship with a "fictional" character a complete uprooting of reality, you are literally transcending logic and planes of existence to be in love with someone who doesnt exist in the same plane as you. the character might as well be speaking through you at that point, its entirely just a feeling you get. and if someone tells you that youre doing it wrong, theyre actually wrong, because its you whos in the relationship not them!! this feels like a cop out answer but its pretty much how i actually feel about character studies when it comes to fictional others, its basically the same way if you were to analyze your real life boyfriend and someones like "actually, i dont feel like theyre like that at all" HOW WOULD THEY FUCKING KNOW!! sorry not swearing at you just im glad to receive this type of question. good luck in your endeavors!
