What do you think about the line 'I feel competent only when people see me attractive'?

Wanting to feel competent especially after done so much to achieve that level of satisfaction is a great feeling. However be attractive doesn't mean it's a value of becoming competent, in my opinion.

The process should have been be competent > your values grades up
And people may or may not see you as attractive.

And the things we should focus on is the values we have within ourselves. We should face the fact that what people see in us is beyond our reach, you could have become competent and have values but not everyone can see that. If you set your values by what people see, you will break. You are the person who understand the most what you have to do while you try to become competent. Not everyone understand the process and think it's attractive. While people also attracted to so many variables, since everyone has different values in their life.

I hope the line will someday become 'I feel competent since I have understand the values I got in me.'
