I want to for whatever next series I do! It just depends on which plot I’m able to get greenlit.

Part of the reason why I haven’t yet is because I want to avoid doing a series that basically boils down to “here’s Japan through the eyes of a foreigner”, because that tends to be the series people expect non-JP people to write and…I just don’t find it that interesting personally.

So that leaves me with either fantasy (non-isekai) or non-Japan settings. Fantasy is probably my easiest bet because there’s ironically less to “explain”, but there’s one idea I’ve been sitting on for a while set in a US school that I’d like to pitch. I also have a story I kind of drew a bit of a while ago starring a half-JP black girl (with a delinquent aspiring hairstylist love interest) that I really want to do as well, but I need to sit down and rework a lot of it. Right now I’m trying to do a lot of oneshots so I can hone my storytelling enough to tackle these stories in a way where there’s nothing stopping them from being greenlit.
