question: is... it... weird to post in a 夢 and/or プラス tag with a non-afab 夢主 if the genre isn't joseimuke to begin with...? bc sometimes some charas from shonen targeted series have a massive yumejo following which leads to the yume tag only having that, but the tags don't always specify which... so.. (((struggle))) and the assumption that yume leaning content is mostly for women is kinda yknow.

just to make it clear i am not belittling yumejo content, I'm just wondering abt etiquette wrt when 夢主 isn't 夢女

I’ll have to be honest, I’m not exactly sure what the etiquette is when it comes to yume, but judging from what I’ve seen from the twst fandom, for example, I don’t think it’s a problem as long as you tag it? I often see people adding notes like ※ 監♂ when posting male MCs for twst yume works. They even go so far as to warn the MC has a face lol. I realize that twst is a joseimuke fandom, but I think there's a lot of overlap with series like that and shonen series with large female demos so I don't think it would be a stretch to use them as a reference. Yume tends to be female-leaning, but it isn't a rule. This is kind of an extreme example, but モブ(男)×キャラ works are basically a form of non-female yume in that sense. In the end, the most important thing is to tag your work. That's the golden rule in JP fandom above all else.

Hope that helps!
