There’s a question in the sample sign-up form that implies level of commitment equals how frequently you want to communicate with your partner. I don’t want to disappoint anyone by saying “very committed” and then not being available for daily chatting, but I am committed to finishing and putting plenty of time and effort into the work itself. I also really want to be paired with someone who’s similarly committed to finishing. Could this wording perhaps be clarified in the final form?
Signing up for the event implies a commitment to completing your pieces, but the mods cannot stop people from dropping/flaking. This question is to gauge how much you want to commit to interacting with your partner. If you are not available for daily chatting, I would put yourself at a 1 or 2 on the scale because someone who puts a 3 likely will want more active engagement with you.
Also to clarify some language in the form question: "event communication" means touching base at check-ins, while "regular communication" may consist of sending updates, cheerleading, brainstorming, and engaging 1 on 1 throughout the event. "Regular communication" is a bit subjective as well so this list is just an example of what someone may want from regular communication.
