always see hyv players mainly speak about the jp audio and seiyuus, and i kinda wonder why? maybe its just the weeb-ery? names and words they’re already familiar with? idk i just enjoy the chinese voices a lot more lol. saw a post where someone said they find eng firefly’s voice annoying and all the comments are “switch to jp bruh” but why not cn?
yea it's 100% bc of weebs/anime ..😭 and also i guess bc seiyuus have a different fan culture around them with people whaling off of va work alone etc and the industry is bigger. but same lol i play the game in cn as well (except for the archon quests bc i get distracted if i dont understand or if there are characters whose voices i prefer in eng like scara) and imo it's way better than the jp tho ig thats just personal taste. i wish people recognized it more bc it's so good (i dont think theres any cn voice i outright dislike. only a few that arent my favorites) and the ""canon"" one (as in, what they were intended to sound like without the other recording studios messing shit up along the way). plus cn is just a wonderful language in general in terms of sounds tbh it's just pleasant to listen to
