i hated the idea of irminsul plot in scara's quest until i actually played it and realised it's pretty good for a story that was just there so he could become playable. he jumped there hoping to erase himself to undo every action he took, absolutely failed, and had to learn to just accept what he's done and live with it. and they didn't hold back with nahida saying he is evil, no sugarcoating lol. the fact that sumeru forgot him doesn't really bother me, i wanted to see HIM feeling bad and trying to just be better to people (he is doing his best....), and he also wasn't so irredeemable or directly causing trouble in sumeru that we even need to see people giving him stares or smth, he's already pretty miserable. i am also not sure if it'll stay like this forever, there was some interesting foreshadowing in the dialogues but i could be wrong
the only thing i don't like about the "rewriting" is how fandom depicts it as a "new scara" that left his past behind or smth, when i think the point at the end was that it's the same scara that accepted his past and learned shit. older and wiser yh
mhm yea that's pretty much what i think as well. i do think he kinda directly caused trouble tho sfjhd not that regular people would know about it even without the irminsul erasure but he was a bit of a supervillain for a second there loool
