My original plan was for Jisung to be way more unhinged. He was supposed to know about Felix's stalking in detail and encourage it, but I thought that was too unrealistic, so I decided against doing that. I intended to show more of their friendship and history together, but sometimes things don't really play out the way you plan at the beginning.

Though, I still think Jisung (in his current state) is a bad friend. The way he went off on FL towards the beginning is a regular occurrence, hence why FL is so used to not talking to him until he comes back to grovel for it. A lot of things he says are really... terrible. He tells FL to not bother trying to start a relationship because he 'always cheats or scares them away by being crazy,' and that he'll always feel lonely in life no matter what. Imo, he's kinda attempting to fuel FL's depression. FL's obsession with Chan is obviously unhealthy and scary, but for FL, it's like the only positive thing in his life. JS also tells FL that he's just like his dad, which, when it's revealed what he did, is AWFUL.

JS also keeps bringing up FL's traumatic family history, and yes, he also has a traumatic childhood AND he's doing it out of concern (debatably), but it's obviously something FL dislikes. When FL tells JS about the plan of befriending Chan's mom to get closer to him, he encourages it despite it clearly being creepy.

Like most unhealthy friendships, they do have good moments, but (to me, anyway) the bad things are bad enough to overtake the good.
