Hi hello friend!! New writer here and I’d love to enhance my works by adding more italics, what is the best way to transfer a large work into a03 but not lose your italics in the copy-paste? Do you use a tool? Or add the code as you go?
Hello friend! 🐝 omgggg that's so exciting! I sending nothing but good energy your way... as for inserting your document into ao3, I simply copy and paste and utilize the "Rich Text" Chapter text option rather than the HTML. Both of course will give you the desired effect but using Rich Text keeps whatever you had italicized in your document, as is in ao3. Though, sometimes it can get a little wonky, for example it could be as "yeehaw." in my google doc but "yeehaw ." in ao3.... i.e. a random spacing issue but that's nothing a quick browse can't fix!
I hope that helps ( ^ p ^ )/ 💛
