hyperspecificity, knowing which words to know when, and shoving yourself in the feet and surroundings of your character. DON'T use unused too-unique words is my personal opinion—the simplest words have the largest effect as fancy words may put down your writing skills!! and specificity is so important—could be colour, brand, a backstory—put yourself in the character's shoes and see everything from their side.
