ahhhh it seems like nanami is making the worst binding vow: live an uninspiring, unfulfilling life to just not be dead. idkkkk if they work it out it’s because nanami has to take the most flippant person’s word and believe it. believe gojo loved him even if nanami was convenient to love.
It really all depends on what a person values most. I guess bcs I wrote from both their perspectives, I sympathise with Nanami a lot more than the readers seem to 💀 which makes sense bcs I have the advantage of his thought process. Gojo has much the same view as you. He sees Nanami looking tired and sad and he tries for a second time to offer him something more but Nanami refuses. It's got to hurt. Rejection is bad enough but rejection when you're someone like Gojo? Unheard of. Idk if Nanami was even all that convenient. He could have gone to someone with less baggage.

Honestly, idt Yaga/Yuki suit Suliman if only bcs neither of them are ever antagonistic. Gakuganji might be a closer fit imo bcs (while he has no redeeming qualities 💀) the resolution Gojo grants him is at least a tiny bit similar. The witch of the waste could be Geto fs but maybe also Kenjaku? Panda as Heen is so cute 😭😭

oh nooooooo not hokkaido 😭 resurrection doll in your verse would be so gutpunching. gojo’s kind of wistful about the Trip That Could Have Been and nanami picks up on it a little only to be a teensy disappointed that gojo asks him to take of yuuji and not about what they meant to each other now
I think this fic is the first I've ever even said the word Hokkaido. Weird that I've never written about it before 💀 that's actually so tragic though! This almost-trip which exists between them for years and then when it finally happens (under much different circumstances, both of them more firmly in adulthood), it's for something far more utilitarian than young love. And maybe Gojo would be a bit privately smug, maybe even a bit vindictive. Because if Nanami just HADN'T left, this could have been one of many trips and they would have ended the night in each other's arms.

How do you approach writing one shots?
Whenever I get asked about writing I tend to draw a blank so I had go into my notes app and look at the latest one shot I've been working on. The majority of my one shots are pretty short (3k at most) so for those I don't rlly plan or outline. Instead I just have a one sentence logline. So, for example, "Nanami is the only one available to take Megumi to his doctor's appt and Gojo pays him in kisses". A logline is rlly easy for me bcs half the crap I twt are just little fic ideas. It's also a very low pressure thing in comparison to an actual outline. When I come up with one, then I like to think about the tone of the fic. Will it be upbeat? Bittersweet? And the third thing is coming up with the first line. Since it's a one shot it's going to be your only first line so it'll pretty much determine the rest of the fic. Once I have the first sentence, the rest tends to come very easily. If you want to write a one shot and ever want more specific advice you could dm me and I'll have no problem reading it over for you.

What inspired you to start writing
If we are talking about writing fics then I actually started off writing kpop fics back in 2018 💀 but in general my sister made me a wattpad account back when I was 11 and I've always been a fan of reading so I suppose I just wanted to emulate the authors I was reading. But if you mean what inspired me to write for JJK I think the first fic I read was about Yuuji & Sukuna's dynamic which was super fascinating to me and the rest is pretty much history. I think the whole wattpad/loving books thing is rlly common so it's not a special reason 💀

I'm happy to hear that 😁😁 honestly I didn't expect anyone to read them since I mostly write nng but I was talking about writing gtnn for MONTHS and Dog Eat Dog is very much one of the fics I'm most proud of.
