i'm sorry anon, unfortunately looking at some of my old art makes me want to delete it instantly (it has happened a few times already over the past months tbh), so i don't like keeping a neat lil compilation of it all pinned to my profile 😭

i'm not trying to say my old art is objectively bad or anything btw, but due to a lot of insecurities and a nice heaping of crippling perfectionism, i get very self-conscious from just about everything i ever do or say once it's been a few months since i put it out there. change and growth is cool and good but my brain is always trying to convince me that other people will see my old stuff and not realize it's old, and judge me for it, somehow. it's very silly!! but even though i know it's silly, i can't get the alarm sirens in my head to stop going off.

it usually takes a couple of years before i come back around and can appreciate where i was at the time compared to where i am now without cringing and feeling weird about it :') the distance makes me feel less vulnerable, i think.

so yeah, i prefer to just let my old art float around and let other people hunt it for sport... although i have to say, if you browse my media tab on desktop, it's pretty easy to scroll through it! apart from my recent indulgence in a lot of bingo cards, i usually don't post all that many images that aren't my own art. i sometimes even go back and delete media that isn't art just to make browsing the tab easier for other people- it's kind of my compromise for not having a pinned thread.
