just like the other anon i was a gego shipper since 2021 but only joined jjktwt in 2023 and istg i was kinda baffled that goge even existed as a community. when i saw that alpha chad they called gojo and that poor depressed princess they called geto i laughed so hard like who are these people? and the audacity of goges to call this canon and even fight other ships over their headcanons is so sad
yeah i wish we could all just ignore each other too bc the fights are tiring but they just can't leave well enough alone. and on top of that freaking elon has now made it impossible to ignore them too bc the mute and block functions don't even work anymore so i think people on both sides are getting riled up way more than what was already "normal" since we're all being forced to see each others tweets and content even with timeline curation.

no one said goges can't just like bottom geto more. and i certainly did not say ALL goges like geto for those reasons so let's please gather up a little reading comprehension, i said SOME people on that side do. and the things i said are VERBATIM what i myself have seen with my own eyes on "justifications" from GOGES THEMSELVES why they like bottom geto. if you're upset by these reasons, take it up with them. if you're annoyed by what i say you have the option of not stalking my retro to get annoyed by my responses, especially considering i did not even post that ask to twitter for people to see. but what can i expect from you people who can't even understand basic sentences, let alone understand the damn manga but want to preach to every single person about how you have the best understandings of canon and no one else is allowed to interpret media differently.

then it's the way geto fans genuinely act oppressed when someone says something as simple as, yeah geto was a villain and attack gojo for it out of nowhere to make him look worse, then say its all jokes. they also absolutely REFUSE to acknowledge the scenario they've made up for g*ge is not canon. and they REFUSE to believe that their hatred for gojo exists

i came to this fandom in 2021 and i instantly was a gego. but i didn’t interact with the fandom at all outside of like ao3 and my irl friends. but then i came back in 2023 and honestly? i was shocked at first that a goge/gego fight even exists. but also what annoys me about big goge accounts is that most of the time they are the ones to start discourse with other gojo ships or spread photoshopped gege comments to spread the agenda. i also hate geto is a cis woman crowd cause that lowkey seems homophobic to me as a queer person
the fandom didn't used to be like this afaik. like i think it was only within the last couple years that the vitriol between both groups was so strong? but yeah it's crazy out here. also, the big accs will start stuff, spread misinfo, exacerbate tensions, but later turn around and cry victim and wonder why no one likes them or why there's "discourse" as if they didn't start it.

there’s also a reason the subfandom with the worst reputation is geto stans(who tend to be gegos also), like let’s bffr. there’s rotten people in the gego community too but the ratio is completely different compared to how insanely many there are of them amongst goges. and then the ones that usually aren’t starting the shit themselves on their side or fanning the flames tend to act like nothing is happening/or trying to pull the “but both sides-“ each time, so NO, goges are distinctly worse on average comparatively.

humor is subjective lmao, and tbh i also thought it was unserious, but considering it's coming from an acc who's stated before they don't like gojo and find him boring when he doesn't isn't paired with geto, i don't think its funny it's just annoying. but u are free to think whatever is funny, just like i (and a lot of other gojo stans) are free to think it's not.

It’s strange because it feels like gegos seem to love gojo and geto as characters but g0g3s just really want them to fit stereotypical tropes so badly. I think it’s obvious g0g3s don’t necessarily hate gojo but they want to paint him as some kind of morally grey bad boy just because they’re into that kind of thing. Unironically I’ve seen more g0g3s make Gojo out to be their version of master nicholas than I’ve seen gegos actually fantasizing about master nicholas geto lol.

hmm i think this depends on the fandom and the way each side views what bottoming "means"...like afaik, most gegos were once goges or switches themselves and then got turned off by that community, and are now gego entirely bc they have bad memories associated with the other side. before anyone says anything, i was one of those people, so this is also a personal experience. as for the appeal of gego itself, the common consensus is that it's "hot for the more powerful one to be taken care of/allow themselves to be in a more vulnerable position with their partner". on the other hand, we have people on goge side who want to say geto is a cis woman, is female coded, and turn stsg into a straight ship entirely so you can form your own opinions on that lol. not to mention how they say he bottoms just bc he has longer hair or that gojo is the more powerful one so he has to top. like i've definitely seen a lot of questionable "reasons" that have made me raise an eyebrow.
