I really canāt figure him out sometimes & thatās one of the reasons I love him. Wy is an entertainer - he would be one if he was just with his friends or in front of an audience. He likes making people happy & doing things that will make them laugh. Heās also an excellent audience & will have great reactions to what the other members are doing. Heās always the one laughing loudest when Ys, Sn, Jh & any of the others really say or do something funny. But heās also mentioned a few times how heās that way when heās āat workā so I donāt know how much is him when heās off camera. I think heās still similar but maybe not as animated. But if someone just got to know him through fromm or some of his lives, they would probably think he was a very different person. I donāt know how else to say it but heās very much a āGUYā - his interest in streetwear, shoes & video games & how most of the other things he likes are fairly serious & not frivolous - photography, cooking, boxing, sports, documentaries etc. I mean that if you only knew him like this, no one would call him a babygirl, you know? Anyway, I find him fascinating. And it makes sense that people would see him drastically differently.
oooo interesting! i actually think heās one of the most real on and off cam, like i think thereās very little difference between him on and off stage tbh. with of course like putting in a bit more persona when heās on cam as all idols do.

Sometimes wsn make me sad not because they seem "distant" or anything, but because I think it would really suck to have to constantly hold yourself back from someone you care about that much, especially since they're both very affectionate people. We still get little candid glimpses of how close they are (like the live where wy literally sat in sn's lap) but for concert interactions it really feels like they've been much more restrained in the last year or so. (I'm a newer fan, though, so correct me if I'm wrong.) I just think like... they're living their dream together, it's sad if they can't fully express their happiness about it while on stage. And it feels like it isn't as much of an issue for other members. Like yn and mg are "allowed" to be cute together, sn can be all over ys, wy can be obsessed with hj. Why do you think that's the case? I do love seeing how much all eight boys love each other. But what do you think is different about wsn that their interactions seem to need so much monitoring? Do you think (no matter what their actual relationship is) that they're too believable as a real couple that it's dangerous somehow? It feels like they were able to be more playful in previous tours compared to the most recent ones.
i think they definitely do things that seem far too real and questionable that iām sure makes kq nervous.
part of it tho i kinda think is while woosan love being cute and coupley and doing fanservice together i think that they did get tired of being thought of as a unit and not individuals but in the bad way ā because there is a good way, youāll hear them and atz talk about woosan as a singular unit and itās cute and fun and it can also be fanservicey and such but then thereās like when wooyoung couldnāt do anything on his own without being bombarded with questions and comments about san. or san seeing a lot of hate directed towards wooyoung because people were jealous. (and also hate directed at them as individuals too), so i think they go thru periods where they pull back a bit themselves in front of the cameras but theyāre still the same off camera and it seems like it works well for them?

This may sound like an odd question but I understand korea is conservative but likeā¦how conservative? How has the general publicās view improved at least? Bc we arenāt in the country and weāre simply observing from the outside.
Bc in regards to sexuality it really feels like as long as you donāt do or say anything explicitly, you can get away with a lot under the radar. For example like haobin, theyāre basically an open secret. Theyāve definitely been attacked with homophobic comments FOR SURE but they havenāt kissed on camera so they can keep careers and be pretty well-liked. Idk I suppose Iām hopeful that Korean fans are slowly being more accepting even if they donāt know it.
i donāt live there so i donāt have the same insight as someone who does :/ but from my understanding and what Iāve seen from actual queer idols and people and other media itās still pretty conservative and anti-lgbt; thereās definitely more acceptance than there used to be and more representation (albeit still not much) in media, but itās still not a safe place to be openly queer in.
Holland, who is an openly gay idol, posted about how he was attacked in Itaewon for being gay; Hong Seok Cheon is an openly gay entertainer who came out in the early 2000s and was like blacklisted for it and it took a long time for him to be able to come back into the industry and thankfully he was able to and heās doing well but itās not like everything is perfect for him and he never gets hate. in fact iāve seen 4th gen stans hate on him. jiae from wassup also received a lot of hate when she first posted about her gf when she came out as bisexual.
fans have always loved fanservice between idols, ever since 1st gen, but weāve seen the jealousy and animosity that fans give to popular ships when things might get a bit too real for them (globally). while i think idols would have fans in korea and globally that would absolutely support them if they ever came out, the industry itself and society is still very anti-lgbt ://

mmmm i think they just go with the mood honestly, depends on the day and what antics they were up to lol. like if wooyoung was being a brat/a tease and needs to be put in his place or something like that.
