any underrated svt fic recs? i’ve been sorting by kudos and feel like i’ve read the most popular ones by now but digging through the tags is sometimes hit or miss

I know you didn't ask, but I'd say my best advice for this is to look through the bookmarks of the writers you like or through word of mouth! typically we read what we write, so bookmarks can be a great place to find new fic if you find sorting through the tags to be too much of a time sink. I know I personally also have a "best of the month" fic rec series I do on my dreamwidth so looking for things like that can also be a great source. and also just asking, I'm always happy to talk about what i've read recently (though it's not always svt specifically).

and yeah !! ofc we always have soldiers fighting the good fight against censorship but 1) I’ve read a decent amount of the ones that do exist (cry) or 2) there are very specific themes and topics i want but can’t articulate and thus can’t find. would love recs if you have them!

Hey, hello. I loved your cakeverse fic so much, it was exactly what I needed and something I didn't know that existed so searching up jeongcheol tag after months and finding it on the top page was so incredible to me. Also, idk- something felt familiar about your username and then I realised you're the person who wrote a namjin divorce fic out of spite that I'm still subscribed to (please don't take it as me asking for an update, I'm merely expressing how your fic has stayed so long in my head because you're an incredible writer)! Anyways, thank you for putting out the fics that you have- they always leave a huge mark on me.
ahhh you're so sweet. i am actually very surprised that anyone still remembers that, but yes that was me too. i have more of that fic somewhere in my wip folder and i choose to believe that i will continue one day, perhaps when i finally finish school and have more set working hours.
thank you for the compliments and thank you for reaching out. it makes me so happy and so proud that my writing has left a mark on you in some way :) and that jc cakeverse reached its intended audience (however niche). i'm terrible at answering and accepting compliments so just know i'm very grateful.

what kind of bad vibes are we talking about?
generally when i get these kinds of feelings,, the worst ones imaginable.
i think i have a general craving for the morose and fucked up that is not always represented in the things that i share here bc i know that it's not everyone else's style. but i personally love fucked up little guys !! the more deranged and socially depraved the better, i have a pretty tough stomach.
regarding this particular craving i think i just reread a 2ha fic i'd saved a while ago and felt better. sometimes kpop fic can get so sanitized that it's good for me to read from other fandoms.

what the fuck is cakeverse
okay, first 😭 chill out babes
cakeverse is essentially a variant of omegaverse that imagines a universe where people are separated into forks, cakes, and normals.
forks can have a range of traits from not being able to taste anything at all, being able to taste some things, etc. the exception to this are cakes, who do not have any traits themselves but they taste exceptionally good and/or sweet to forks.

why do u have 2 ao3s? not hating, just curious!!
great question !! I forget that everyone doesn’t just know my lore !! 😮💨 so I’ve had my ao3 acc since around 2014-ish and it was under a completely different name. when I started posting fic again around 2021-22 I decided to change my name, which is how I ended up with user collocation. a little later on I started writing a fic called “life’s a bitch” which is essentially a gender-swapped revisionist history of BTS told through a series of vignettes. I love the fic but every time I posted a new chapter, it was constant drama. I really didn’t want to deal with that anymore so I opened a new user to move it over to, which is when I became “immutable.” the initial idea is I would post things there that were a little bit more out-there in terms of content and subject matter so I wouldn’t annoy my user subs. but most of those fics ended up staying in the drafts, so now I just have two users ! would I do the same again today? prob not, I would just own it, but it was something that was causing me a lot of stress and anxiety at the time. I love both users now and I like the little community I have over at immutable too :)
