great question !! I forget that everyone doesn’t just know my lore !! 😮‍💨 so I’ve had my ao3 acc since around 2014-ish and it was under a completely different name. when I started posting fic again around 2021-22 I decided to change my name, which is how I ended up with user collocation. a little later on I started writing a fic called “life’s a bitch” which is essentially a gender-swapped revisionist history of BTS told through a series of vignettes. I love the fic but every time I posted a new chapter, it was constant drama. I really didn’t want to deal with that anymore so I opened a new user to move it over to, which is when I became “immutable.” the initial idea is I would post things there that were a little bit more out-there in terms of content and subject matter so I wouldn’t annoy my user subs. but most of those fics ended up staying in the drafts, so now I just have two users ! would I do the same again today? prob not, I would just own it, but it was something that was causing me a lot of stress and anxiety at the time. I love both users now and I like the little community I have over at immutable too :)
