are kpop concerts different from regular concerts of non- kpop artists? I've always heard about kpop stans complaining about the price of the tickets for kpop concerts but I've never been to one I've only attended normal ones so I was wondering if it was worth the price
i think that as with most things, it depends.
if you’re getting GA tickets at a smaller venue that’s standing room only, it will usually run you around $40-60 including fees and taxes. that’s how much i paid at least for purple kiss and evnne. weeekly tickets at the same venue that purki was at ran the same. kiof tickets were also $50ish after fees iirc but we’re not going to talk about how much of a bloodbath that was. dear god please let me find a ticket i don’t want to pay a scalper 3x face value and give ticketmaster the satisfaction of earning double fees.
non-kpop concerts at the venue that purki and weeekly were at are usually in the $25-40 range. not a concert but i did go to a comedy show at the venue kiof will be at and that was $60. so like. at that scale at least i find it reasonable… especially considering those visa fee hikes lmfao. whether it’s “worth it” depends on personal taste, but it’s an amount i’m willing to pay, especially when i don’t know if a group will ever come back to the usa, or to a city reasonably close enough for me to travel to.
vip/vvip and all the add ons i feel is where you’ll get a lot more into exorbitant pricing. also once you get into bigger venues and bigger groups that also inflates pricing. i paid like… only $20 more i think for onlyoneof vvip than i did for an ateez nosebleed seat lmao. and i had a great time breaking that fucking wall but i don’t think there are many groups id pay that much for the privilege of taking a fancam for ants, or if i would even do it again. (im lying. i would. it was the most alive i’ve felt in like 4 years). so yeah. ymmv.
