Hi, what resources would you say contribute most in your character art ? and do you plan to make art tutorials? i'm obsessed with your designs on castlevania, and stylization is my weakness (p.s. i'm not familiar with your following, it seems the questions here is more about your original series, i'm sorry if this is a bit unfitting :( is it better to ask these sort of questions on your twitter?
We wanted to keep the style for Castlevania Kojima-esque and beyond that my biggest personal inspiration was historical dress. It was really fun to research different fashions and give them a shot of fantasy. Nocturne has a ton of characters in fancy 18th-century gowns and hairstyles-- our animators are amazing but we have to make sure we're conveying the richness of it all without killing them.
One of my coworkers said they always knew when a character came from me because they had "man of Gondor" vibes. I love a guy in a big fuckoff skirt, what can I say.
