I had a dream about Clover and Halsin after ogling your Good King Halsin preview one too many times. Such good food even if its just a taster for us poor people who can't support you work financially.
Basically Halsin was licking Clovers feet out in the snow, as tender and reverently, like an animal might lick a wound carefully to clean it or soothe a cub or something, and Clover was sitting all sated and exhausted and flustered. I guess it happened after Clover got all warmed up by the Good King. I got the impression he would have pulled his foot away if he could have, but he was such a tired bean he just let Halsin do his thing and in the end he kind of appreciated it, and Halsin came up beside him and snuggled him in close.
Best thing was the whole thing was animated o_o
I would sketch it out roughly if possible but I don't know how how I'd get it to you. I've been in a drawing slump for a long time but your boys give me the will to draw again.
Also I'm not even a foot person so I dunno why that bit happened, and I certainly don't know what you will do with this information, but I felt like you should know. You've been a big inspiration of mine for some time [your art is so simple and clean, and so effective at portraying emotion and tenderness] and I hope to support you on Patreon one of these days.

First of all, love that they're infiltrating your dreams, my work here is done, but also I've long held that Halsin gives Clover very thorough tongue baths even in his regular old elf form. It does a lot! He's gotta clean him up, gives him something to do to keep him close/while they have no choice but to be close, makes him smell like him which is very important, etc.
They really make the feral natures of each other feel seen and at home with one another, even if it's not always intentional-- especially in Clover's case, where even though it's there, he needs a guiding hand. I'm very much enjoying it
