Tbh as much as I enjoy reading chn angst, I also really miss seeing him being written as confident and bold - not that people exploring his insecurities in fics is something bad no, it's just that it sometimes feels like his whole personality has been minimized to his insecurities and doubts. Kind of like a Flanderization of his character.
People also tend to forget that all of 5kz have their insecurities and complexes, chns just open about his.
yeah i get you, i think because he is so open about it compared to the others it's something a lot of people find easy to explore because we just know more details about it. (and maybe relate more to it too)
my own personal favourite type of chan is a chan that contains both his insecurities and his confidence. nobody is just one thing. but yeah there is a lot of fics that explores his insecurities.
