sorry for the dumb question, but can you explain Gil and Luis relationship? I'm interested to read barbarities but I'm so curious about them
Luis is a prince and Gil is his manservant & bodyguard. They have a pretty fraught relationship, because Luis is the next king of his country, an empire which invaded Gil's country. Gil was enslaved for years as a gladiator, and was given (begrudgingly lol) to Luis as a gift when he became crown prince. They have a purely professional master-servant relationship except for when Luis gets drunk and they end up sleeping together. Luis usually loses his memory after getting drunk so he never remembers any details. Their relationship develops past that in the manga! I hope you can get around to reading it! 💕

Definitely his dad, because he, Luka, and presumably his uncle look very alike (and he’s related to them ofc on his dad’s side.) I think the Tansean royal family must just have bulldozer genes you can’t rly see the other parent at all lol (though I do think Luis has his mother’s eye color)

Yeah the current landscape of fandom is really disheartening :( I currently got into a new series and I want to make art and fic for it, but I know antis and fancops are going to jump on me the second I'm noticed LOL... Seems like the only way to be happy with a fandom lately is to find a little circle of fellow freaks and gatekeep everything to them
Yeah I feel like it definitely depends on whether said fandom has a lot of kids in it, stuff that doesn't appeal to kids or YA fans doesn't rly attract heat ime. Unless you go looking for fights lol. But I definitely understand that you gotta walk on eggshells these days if you like literally any anime, most video games, YA novels...

beyond or including gil's various scarrification, do Luis and Gil have any birthmarks between them? freckles?
I think Gil might get freckles in the summer, he's not a fair-skinned redhead but I just think it would be cute lol. Luis I don't hc with any particular birthmarks but apparently his eye color is very unusual in-setting, so that's fun. I also hc he has a scar from when the gun blew up in his hand, gunpowder burn up his wrist and then a bigger one from his palm getting blown open

what kind of wedding ceremonies would they have on tanse? i feel like they could be different than xehana
Tanse still has a very archaic patriarchal culture and strong pagan roots, so I think their ideals when it comes to marriage are definitely different from Xehana's. I wish we had more information on both countries because all I have are headcanons lol, but I think Tansean weddings might generally be held outdoors vs inside a church, maybe involve several days of various traditional ceremonies or celebrations both before and after the wedding itself, stag parties, etc. as well as various offerings to whatever gods the couple/their families worship. Luis makes it sound like Tanse doesn't have a cohesive pantheon but probably more like regional deities, so wedding traditions my vary a lot depending on the region

more details on vampire AU vs anime vampire AU pls
My regular vampire AU’s are usually based more on Western vampire fiction like Anne Rice, Dracula, True Blood, etc. but vampire anime is completely its own thing. Huge machine guns shaped like crucifixes, superpowered nuns, the vampires can have powers ranging from sprouting wings to laser eyes, if you’ve ever watched a vampire anime you know exactly what I’m talking about lol. I don’t really have a clear story in mind for a vampire anime AU for gillou it’s more just like an aesthetic rolling around in my head. Vampire Hunter D, Hellsing, Vassalord, Trinity Blood etc
